Using TSE technology, the 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless Disc Brake Wheelset features a hookless tubeless rim profile that creates a seamless interface with the tire and provides a nice weight reduction. The 858 gives you all the advantages offered by our high profile rims for a weight traditionally reserved for rims 20 mm lower. The internal width of the wheel is 23mm; ideal for fitting wider tires with lower pressures to reduce rolling resistance. This is how TSE technology helps you combat the four obstacles to speed: Wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses. Our patented Sawtooth profile for the 82mm/85mm variable profile rim of the 858 NSW is the highest performing shape we offer in terms of aerodynamics and crosswind stability. The 858 NSW benefits from Zipp's Carbon Internal Reinforcement (CiR) technology, which provides a rim that is 10% lighter and just as strong as previous models. The result is pure speed, especially for triathletes, time trial specialists and any other speed enthusiast. Additionally, even though this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option of mounting tubeless compatible tires with an inner tube.
