The GP5000 STR Tire in detail:

TR (Tubeless Ready): The user-friendly tubeless ready system of the Grand Prix 5000 S TR is specially designed for the demands of road cycling, it is easy to assemble and reliable in use. A reworked bead ensures reliable sealing and stable support on rims with or without hooks (called hookless).
BlackChili Compound: Strong grip and low rolling resistance are mutually exclusive. Combining the two always requires a compromise. For the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, Continental improved the composition of the famous Black Chili compound and then obtained an optimal ratio between rigidity and stability to have a tire optimized for rolling resistance which is even flexible enough to offer a maximum grip.
Vectran™ Breaker anti-puncture insert: Everyone wants to benefit from the best puncture protection. But no one wants to carry a significantly heavy weight because of that. The Vectran™ Breaker anti-puncture insert of the Continental GP 5000 S bicycle tire is inspired by the impressive tear resistance of spider silk and consists of a synthetically produced high-tech fiber made of liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which offers enormous resistance. The fine, dense weave creates a protective layer that is extremely resistant to punctures and cuts, which is, however, barely noticeable on the scale.
Lazer Grip: To increase grip in fast corners, Continental has equipped the Grand Prix 5000 S TR with the Laser Grip profile in the shoulder area. This microscopic profile structure is laser cut into the rubber and gives the tire a natural and predictable behavior when cornering.
