The Dura Ace ST-R9250 electronic shift lever from the high-end Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 road bike groupset switches 12 or 2 gears via cable and brakes mechanically. Both the brake lever and grip body are made of carbon, saving over 30 grams of weight on each side compared to the Ultegra model. The ST-R9250 shifter stands out for fast, defined and intuitive gear changes thanks to the Shimano indexed switching system. The cables start from the STI and go first to a distributor, then to the battery, which is in turn connected to the rear derailleur and the front derailleur. Or you can connect the STIs together and run a cable from the right lever to the battery. The ergonomics of the Dual-Control lever and the horns have been further optimized compared to previous models and provide a very comfortable grip. The reach of the handle can be easily adjusted using a flat screwdriver. It is also possible to communicate with the device from another supplier via special keys, via the rear derailleur as a wireless unit.
