The GP5000 TT TR Tire in detail:
- Tubeless: Our patented carcass construction is robust and impervious to damage from foreign objects. The result: versatility, reduced weight and a super attractive design. With this design, the tires can be used both tubeless or with a tube.
- BlackChili Compound: Nano technology used to produce the carbon black particles which are used to reinforce the rubber compound. We refine specialty synthetic rubbers with natural rubber to create high-performance tread compounds. Tailored to the needs of each tire, in this case, more speed!
- Lazer Grip, to become one with the road. The lazer micro-profiled structure extends over the shoulder of the tire and provides exceptional cornering.
- Vectran™: The benchmark in puncture protection Vectran™ is a high-tech fiber made synthetically from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from molten Vectra liquid polymer and formed into a multi-strand yarn. Spider silk like Vectran™ has enormous tear strength at very low weight: Exactly the right properties to be transformed into a high-end Continental bicycle tire as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran™ circuit breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects against cuts more effectively than the comparable nylon circuit breaker. Vectran™ Breaker does not negatively affect rolling resistance.
