A versatile short nose gravel specific saddle with a combination of a carbon reinforced nylon shell and a very stiff carbon rail. A gravel-friendly, riding-friendly saddle with a short nose design and generous ischial support for improved stability.
GREATER STABILITY: While a traditional saddle shape encourages riders to change positions frequently for greater leverage, the Argo places riders in a more planted position, allowing for greater stability and distribution weight. The short length of the Terra Argo allows riders to sit further forward without putting undue pressure on sensitive areas. It also features an ergonomic cutout that was developed using detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts.
GRAVEL SPECIFIC SADDLE: The Argo is our most versatile form of saddle, with each version suited to different riding styles. As a gravel-specific option, the Terra Argo has been designed with a soft shell to provide a degree of flexibility. This controlled elasticity absorbs road noise and vibrations, providing the comfort needed to travel long distances on unpaved roads.
STABILITY AND RESPONSIVENESS: To better support the Terra Argo's flexible shell, we used our closed-loop Mobius rail system for increased structural stability and responsiveness. The Terra Argo features a wavy profile to provide the lower back support needed for long rides and to help riders maintain their position when climbing on soft terrain. The same goes for the drop nose design which allows riders to rotate their pelvis while pushing forward on the nose for better traction and power transfer.
LONG DISTANCE COMFORT: The padding is made from Fizik's proprietary Type 2 foam formula, slightly thicker around the ischial bone area to support a more upright riding posture. The padding is slightly softer and more progressive than what we use on our racing saddles, providing greater comfort over long distances.
